This is another area of innovative ministry which our confreres in the province had initiated in response to the signs of the time. As Fr. A. Christuraj, MSFS showed much interest and was actively involved in this special ministry, he was appointed as a full-time coordinator of youth ministry in the province. Therefore, after a few years of pastoral and preaching ministry, the province had sent him to pursue MTh studies in Youth Ministry at Visva Deep College, Bengaluru. After completing his studies in Bengaluru, he did Master of Arts in Sociology and Doctorate in Sociology from Periyar University at Salem, Tamilnadu, staying at Fransalian minor seminary in Salem. The topic of his thesis paper was “The Influence of Social Media and the Youth.” He graduated in 2023, and after completing his doctoral studies, he is fully committed to organizing youth programs and conducting motivational seminars and lectures to different groups of students in schools and colleges and preaching retreats to various groups of people. He organizes youth programs and motivational seminars, creating awareness about various addictions and the excessive use of cell phone and internet in all the parishes undertaken by the MSFS missionaries and in many of the parishes throughout the state of Tamilnadu. Later, he joined the Nalam community collaborating with Fr. C. Sebastian Raj, MSFS in providing counselling and spiritual guidance to the addicts and their codependents in their journey of healing and rehabilitation. He has created two YouTube channels for the purpose of youth animation and preaching ministry. However, as he was elected as the General councillor, serving as the Secretary of Social and Innovative ministry in the month of February 2025, the provincial Fr. A.
