S.F.S Nursery and Primary school, Nallatinputhur is a new venture in the field of education to the rural population of Kovilpatty Vicariate in the Diocese of Palayamkottai. The new school was initiated in order to fulfill the local demands for a missionary school from which the value based education could be sought and new morals along with intellectual aptitude could be obtained. In order to realize this purpose, Fr. S. Antony was asked to buy a piece of land and he negotiated to buy a land on the National High Way towards Thirunelveli. This land was later bought byFr.S. Sagaya Wilson, who was also given the mandate to proceed with the construction of the school. The school building was constructed in 2009.
Fr.G. Jagannathan was appointed as the first Principal of the school in 2009. The school was run in the church campus for a year. And in the following year, the schoolwas shifted to the new place where the construction was going on. The school building was completed in 2010 and was inaugurated on 18 October 2010. The school got the recognition for Nursery and Primary status in 2011. At present, there are around 400 children in the school. There are 15 teaching staff and 6 Non-teaching staff. The school has got a good name in and around the place. At present we are all appreciated for our service and for the method employed.
We, the Fransalians, are trying to make people to live in their faith and to grow in concern for each other in respecting the value of human beings and being faithful to God through the Fransalian way of life by following the spirituality of St. Francis de Sales and help them to live by living as Fransalians in the Centre.
The main ministry is parish ministry. The aim of this mission is to make the faithful to live and grow in their faith. People have simple faith and are regular to the Church and participate actively. All the community activities are centered on the Word of God. They are kept busy and remain connected to the various faith related activities. Faithful are catechized by way of pious groups, catechism, Legion of Mary, etc. Pastoral care and concern is the main aspect of the mission that they may live in communion with each other and grow in Christian faith.
