My Dear Confreres,
Greetings of peace and love! Once again we are renewed and energized with the Pentecostal experience. This experience gives us strength to go ahead to proclaim the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ by our exemplary religious life in the spirit and spirituality of our heavenly Patron St. Francis De Sales and our venerable Founder Fr. Peter Mermier.
The academic year of 2017 -2018 is complete with the publication of the results of the 10th and 12th standards. All our schools have done excellently well. All our dedication, commitment and hard work have borne fruit. All our schools are well recognized and well received by the students, parents and the public. I congratulate all our confreres serving the schools, the teachers and the staff for the outstanding performance.
In a few days time, we are beginning the new academic year of 2018 – 2019. It is going to be another great year of learning. In the beginning of the academic year, the students come to the school with great anticipation and excitement. It is filled with great promise, enthusiasm and hope. This academic year is not only for the schools and students. All our parishes, centres also begin with new hope and excitement.
Let this year be another year of success and fulfillment for all, including the confreres, staff, students, parishioners and the public. Academic achievement alone should not be our focus. The focus of our formation of students, parishioners must be comprehensive. We must inculcate in students certain values so as to equip them to become human persons and responsible citizens. We must motivate our parishioners to be responsible parents and exemplary Christians. This must be based on the values of our Lord Jesus Christ, as experienced and lived by our heavenly Patron St. Francis De Sales and our venerable founder Fr. Peter Mermier.

CONGREGATION MATTERS
PREPARATION FOR 20th GENERAL CHAPTER 2019
- The 20th General Chapter 2019 is to be held from the 1st of February, 2019 to the 13th of February, 2019 at Msfs Provincial house, Guwahati, Assam, India
- Three reflection papers have been already sent to all the confreres for reflections and for submission of reports with suggestions.
- This process of reflections and submission of report in a phased manner will have to be completed within the stipulated time.
ELECTION OF DELEGATES
- Our Superior General, Rev. Fr. Abraham Vettuvelil, has issued a circular dated 24.05.2018 in SG-AB 18-61 in respect of election of Delegates to the General Chapter. He has outlined the process and the provisions contained in the Constitutions and the Directory to be complied with in the election process of Delegates to the General Chapter, 2019.
- Fr. General states that “The cutoff date for tabulating the data needed to prepare the list of confreres participating in the election is JUNE 15, 2018 (the date included).” He also further states that “The date (when the results of the election of delegates should reach the Superior General) is August 20, 2018 (the date included).”
- He is requesting all to start the process on time especially those provinces having confreres overseas.
- The circular of the Superior General is already circulated. Kindly take not of it.

We are making efforts to send to you all the details along with the list and ballot papers at the earliest.
