Indeed, it was a joyful moment for the people of Soorampatti, the Sub-station of Virudhunagar as their new church was blessed and inaugurated on 8th March, 2015. It was a long-awaited dream of the people to have a new church at Soorampatti. By God’s grace and by the help of Our Lady and people’s cooperation, the church was built, and was dedicated to Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. Most Rev. Dr. Antony Pappusamy, the Archbishop of Madurai, blessed the church and celebrated the Eucharist. The Opening Ceremony was conducted by Rev. Fr. A. Dharmaraj, Msfs, the Provincial of the South-East India Province. A large number of priests, religious and lay people participated in the Holy Eucharist. I thank everyone who supported the project and participated in the celebration.
