A new dawn has emerged in the historical pages of our South-East India Province as Alangayam Fransalian Institute for Aid Training Society within Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry Fransalian Society, has given birth to its second child that is known as Friendly Home      Unit – II. With the blessings and providence of God, the foundation- stone for the 2^nd unit was laid on 19^th October, 2015 by Very Rev. Fr. A. Dharmaraj, our Provincial Superior in the presence of   Mr. Jurgen Steinmetz and Mr. Ferdinand Steffen, the representatives of our benefactors from Binsfeld, Germany and Rev. Fr. J. B. John Thadews, the Project              Co-ordinator. The day’s programme was arranged in S.F.S. School, Janathapuram, Vaniyambadi.

The school community welcomed and honoured our Provincial, the PCIC of Formation, Rev. Fr. Deivasakayaraj, Rev. Fr. J. B. John Thadews and our Confreres from various local communities, special guests from Germany, teachers and students. The students from S.F.S. School, Janathapuram and our Friendly Home children gave a fantastic cultural programme. Soon after the assembly, there was the ceremony of laying of foundation-stone together with unveiling the written symbol of it in the place set apart for the building just in front of the priests’ residence. The participants were happy to witness such a new venture of our Province in the Social Apostolates and Innovative Ministries. Thanks to the Fathers, Well-wishers and Friends who support this project in various respects.
