The new church construction at Thirukogarnam, Pudukkottai, was delayed for sometime due to the approval procedures. Now that the procedures are almost done and approval is almost obtained, the construction work is all set to begin. As an initiation into the work, the place, where the church is to be erected, was blessed by Rev. Fr. Anthony Dharmaraj, our Provincial Superior, in the presence of our fathers from neighboring communities and sisters and parishioners at 8.30 a.m. on 27th July, 2015.

Later, at 11.30 a.m. on 02nd August, the preliminary construction works were inaugurated by Mr. Rajashekar, the Chairman of Pudukkottai Municipality, in the presence of our fathers and the parishioners. Your continued most valuable prayers are requested for the completion of the New Church.
